Seven Days, One Murder: How Our Musical Mystery Cruise Will Unfold with A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group
What if your next vacation came with live music, glamorous characters, secret clues and one shocking crime to solve?
From January 16 through January 23, 2027, A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group is taking Music Can Be MURDER! to sea, on a cruise, aboard Holland America Line’s fabulous ship, the Zuiderdam.
This seven-day Mexican Riviera cruise sails round-trip from San Diego, with stops in La Paz, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas. But between the beautiful destinations, relaxing sea days and everything the ship has to offer, an immersive 1940s musical mystery will be unfolding around you.
This is not a performance that happens during one dinner. The characters, relationships, rivalries and clues will develop throughout the week.
Here is how the mystery is planned to unfold.
Day 1: Welcome Aboard
Once everyone has boarded the Zuiderdam and settled into their cabins, a special invitation will be delivered under each participating guest’s door.
Inside, you will find an itinerary outlining the mysterious events ahead. Consider it your first indication that this will not be an ordinary cruise.
Day 2: Meet the Characters
Our first full day at sea begins with a cocktail party where guests will meet the characters at the center of Music Can Be MURDER!
It is 1946, and rival big bands are preparing to perform. Ambition, jealousy, romance and old resentments are already bubbling beneath the glamorous surface.
As you mix and mingle with the characters, the first scenes will unfold. Listen carefully. A casual comment may become an important clue later.
Day 3: Rivalries at Sea
During our second day at sea, we will gather for another cocktail party.
The story will continue as characters circulate among the guests and additional scenes reveal more about their complicated relationships. You will begin to discover who has something to hide, who may be seeking revenge and who cannot be trusted.
Day 4: A Night of Performances
The characters take the stage for a special night of musical performances.
Enjoy the music, but watch what happens between the songs. Competition between the Artie Miller Band and the Clive Grayson Band is fierce, and the drama offstage may be even more revealing than what happens under the spotlight.
Day 5: Clues After Mazatlán
After our visit to Mazatlán, we may gather for a sail-away cocktail party.
More scenes and clues will emerge as the ship returns to sea. By now, you may have formed a few theories, but in this mystery, appearances can be dangerously misleading.
Day 6: Cabaret and a Shocking Discovery
After departing Cabo San Lucas, we are planning a Q&A with the actors and the mystery’s creator, followed that evening by our cabaret.
But late that night, a message will be slipped under your cabin door:
Someone has been found dead!
Suddenly, the musical rivalry has become a murder investigation.
Day 7: The Investigation
On our final day at sea, participating guests will embark on a scavenger hunt to uncover evidence hidden around the ship.
That evening, everyone will gather for the final investigation. You will join teams, review the evidence, question the suspects and attempt to identify the killer.
Will you solve the crime before the truth is revealed?
