What happens when two rival big bands, glamorous singers and a ship full of secrets set sail together? You get Music Can Be MURDER!, a musical murder mystery at sea from A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group.
This seven-day interactive murder mystery cruise sails aboard Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam from January 16–23, 2027. The Mexican Riviera itinerary travels round-trip from San Diego, with stops in La Paz, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas. But while the scenery may be beautiful, the real intrigue will be unfolding aboard the ship.
Unlike a traditional stage show, this experience places you inside the story. You will meet the characters at cocktail parties, discover a daily clue delivered to your cabin, participate in a scavenger hunt and question the suspects. The mystery builds throughout the voyage and culminates in a 1940s-style big-band production and final investigation. One lucky guest will even have the opportunity to perform with the cast.
That means the entertainment does not end when a curtain closes. A conversation in a lounge may reveal a useful detail. A character’s offhand remark may change your theory. Every new encounter gives you another opportunity to notice what others miss, making the ship itself part of the storytelling—and giving friends, couples and groups plenty to debate between ports.

Phyllis Davis: The Proper Southern Star
Phyllis Davis is back where she believes she belongs: singing lead with the Artie Miller Band. She is not nearly as pleased to discover that Clive Grayson and his competing band have also come aboard. Phyllis may insist that a proper Southern lady should “hush her mouth” when she has nothing nice to say, but old rivalries have a way of speaking for themselves.
Rose McGuire: The Woman Who Knows the Schedule
As Clive Grayson’s personal secretary, Rose McGuire knows his calendar, his plans and possibly his secrets. Her position places her close to the action—and gives her access to information others may want. Is Rose a trusted confidante, an innocent witness or someone investigators should watch closely?
