Meet Rhayne Thomas: Actor, Advocate, and the Vibrant Force Behind “Prunes Are Sexy” and one of our incredible actors!!

At A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group, our actors bring more than just talent to the table—they bring life experience, heart, and powerful stories. One of those incredible individuals is Rhayne Thomas, an actor whose life journey has taken her far beyond the stage.

Rhayne isn’t just known for her captivating performances. She’s also a cancer survivor, health advocate, and the founder of the global movement Prunes Are Sexy. With humor and heart, she shares a message that transcends acting—encouraging people everywhere to embrace small, joyful steps toward better health and to live life with purpose, boldness, and flavor.

Her path to becoming a global health advocate wasn’t linear—it was shaped by both resilience and reinvention.

A few highlights from an interview with Caitlin (one of our fabulous actors as well!) Rhayne grew up in a challenging environment, where negativity and fear were part of daily life. Her family life wasn’t easy, and in many ways, those early experiences were more difficult to overcome than her cancer diagnosis years later.

“I’ve always been a tigris,” Rhayne says, describing her fierce determination. “I come from a very challenging and negative background, and that was far more difficult than cancer was.”

As a child, Rhayne dealt with constant messages of self-doubt and fear. She heard it from the people closest to her: “No man’s going to want you. You’re an ugly girl. You’re like a bull in a china shop.” Over time, those words became an internal loop, replaying like a song stuck in her head.

“It’s like memorizing songs for shows,” she explains. “You hear it enough, you think, ‘This is the truth.’”

Yet despite the cruelty of those early messages, Rhayne found her way forward by embracing what made her different. She learned to sew her own clothes and by the time she reached college, she had her own line of wedding gowns and menswear for men over six feet tall—an underserved market at the time. Her creative spirit wasn’t just about fashion; it was about survival. She became the “odd duck,” but in doing so, she carved out a path that was uniquely her own.

To cope with her family’s sarcasm and teasing, she learned to match their humor with wit of her own. That sharp, clever style eventually evolved into her work as a blues singer and storyteller, weaving real-life experiences into performances so compelling that audiences didn’t always realize the stories were true.

“They’d say, ‘Get out of here, that didn’t happen!’ And I’d just laugh and say, ‘Girl, if you only knew.’”

Today, Rhayne continues to blend performance and advocacy in her life and career. As part of A Touch of Mystery & More, she brings those same storytelling skills to the stage, captivating audiences with her humor, charisma, and presence. But she also uses her platform to spread an important message: health, healing, and life can be full of joy—even when the road is tough.

Her movement, Prunes Are Sexy, is a playful but powerful campaign that encourages people to prioritize their health in fun, approachable ways. Whether she’s performing in a mystery event or speaking on a podcast, Rhayne is redefining what it means to thrive.

We’re honored to have her as part of our team.
