At A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group, we’re proud to collaborate with extraordinary performers who bring passion, talent, and heart to every role.

Today, we shine the spotlight on one of our treasured artistic collaborators: so meet Joy DeMain — a powerhouse of creativity whose life and career embody the very essence of joy, resilience, and expression.

Joy DeMain is not just an entertainer; she’s a singer, producer, actor, comedian, teacher, voice-over artist, model, and scenic designer — and that’s just scratching the surface. Her life reads like a love letter to the arts. From directing to composing, from teaching drama to watercolor painting, Joy is living proof that creativity knows no limits.

Joy’s journey in the spotlight began when she was just a child. She has always felt a deep connection to performing, a calling she believes is part of something much larger — a timeless tradition of storytelling and connection. For Joy, the stage is more than a platform — it’s where her heart lives.

One of the most beautiful chapters in her personal story began in a recording studio, where she met the man who would become both her musical partner and her husband. “I said I needed a piano player and arranger,” she recalls, “and they asked me, ‘Do you want the best?’ I said, ‘If I can afford him!’” Eventually, she not only worked with him — she married him. Together, they built a rich life in music and performance, even founding their own theater company, Jade Productions, in 1995.

Over the years, Joy honed not just her vocal and acting skills, but discovered a surprising new love: comedy. “Singing moves people, but laughter is an instant connection,” she shares. That spark led her to blend humor with performance, creating unforgettable experiences on stage — something A Touch of Mystery & More audiences love about her.

But life hasn’t always been center stage and spotlights. Joy is a breast cancer survivor, and her story of returning to performance while undergoing chemotherapy is nothing short of inspiring. When cast as Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, she initially stepped back due to her diagnosis. But the company insisted she remain in the role, accommodating her needs in a way that allowed her to feel alive and joyful during a challenging time. “It changed everything for me,” she says. “It gave me energy. It gave me purpose.”

That healing power of creativity is something Joy continues to pay forward. She often speaks with other cancer patients, helping them navigate their own fears and inspiring them to find light during the darkest times. Her name isn’t just Joy — she lives it.

After the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Joy once again turned to the arts for healing. In a beautifully unexpected twist, she began painting — particularly with watercolor. Her art is bold, whimsical, cheeky, and vibrant, much like the woman herself. From floral abstracts to pop-culture references to her now-signature “penis paintings” (yes, you read that right — and yes, they’re fabulous), Joy’s artwork is gaining attention for its color, playfulness, and creative bravery.

Her work can be explored at Party Art by Joy, a site that showcases both her incredible range and her undeniable humor. As she says, “Having the name Joy is a big responsibility. People expect something when they meet me.” And she delivers — through art, through laughter, through song, and through every role she takes on with A Touch of Mystery & More.

Whether she’s solving a mystery on stage, guiding students in the classroom, or giggling her way through a watercolor session, Joy DeMain reminds us that art isn’t just about performance — it’s about presence. And hers is a presence that lights up every room she enters.

To experience Joy DeMain in action, be sure to attend one of our upcoming events — and prepare to be moved, delighted, and inspired.
