Behind the Curtain with Michael Kaczurak! If you’ve ever attended a production by A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group, chances are you’ve laughed, guessed, and gasped alongside one of its most colorful characters—brought to life by none other than the multi-talented Michael Kaczurak.
Originally from Pittsburgh and now a proud Las Vegas local, Michael brings a unique blend of classical theater training, advanced improv skills, and cruise ship entertainment to every performance he takes on. With over 13 years in Las Vegas and an extensive background working alongside J. Joseph, the founder of A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group, Michael has become a core performer in the troupe’s beloved murder mystery events—both in Vegas and around the country.
Michael’s journey into this world is anything but ordinary. While his college experience was rooted in classic dramatic works—think Shakespeare and Chekhov—he soon found his true calling in improv and comedy after moving to New York City. There, he trained with Second City and the Upright Citizens Brigade, learning the art of spontaneity and audience interaction from some of the best in the business. He even took a detour into clown college under Steve Smith, former president of Ringling Brothers, gaining skills that would later shine through in his bold and energetic character work.
Since joining A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group, Michael has embodied everything from a flamboyant cooking show contestant to a sugar-addicted sleuth hilariously covered in powdered sugar by show’s end. And when founder J. Joseph needs an extra hand, Michael steps into the role of inspector, overseeing the entire experience—client liaison, performance coordination, and all.
“It’s incredibly fulfilling to be trusted with so many aspects of a show,” Michael shares. “Jay writes these larger-than-life characters and gives us room to play. I love bringing them to life and seeing the audience light up.”
Now, Michael and A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group are preparing to launch one of their most exciting ventures yet—Murder Mysteries at Sea. In partnership with Sharpe Travel Group, this exclusive cruise experience is set to debut in 2026 aboard Holland America Line. Guests will embark on a seven-day sailing down the Mexican Riviera, where they’ll be immersed in a fully interactive mystery experience from the moment they board. Expect surprise clues at your stateroom door, themed events, and performances that unfold as the ship sails.
“It’s going to be unlike anything else,” says Michael. “We’re bringing the mystery to life across an entire voyage. It’s immersive entertainment at its finest.”
Off the stage, Michael wears many hats. He performs weekly with Marriage Can Be Murder, Las Vegas’ longest-running murder mystery dinner show. He’s a successful travel advisor with Sharp Travel Group, having circumnavigated the globe and earned top honors among over 5,000 agents. He also serves as a hospitality team member for the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, working high-profile events like the Super Bowl and WrestleMania.
And when he’s not unraveling fictional crimes or booking dream vacations? He’s on stage playing dream roles—most recently starring as Buddy in Elf the Musical and taking on multiple roles in the viral hit Scream: The Unauthorized Musical Parody.
Whether it’s a corporate party, a team-building event, or a night out on the town, Michael and A Touch of Mystery & More Entertainment Group deliver unforgettable entertainment that combines laughter, suspense, and immersive storytelling.
